Rich just celebrated his 20th anniversary with Belknap Landscape which is an amazing accomplishment and we're very fortunate to have him.
His is currently the Estimator for the company’s project work on the Design/Build Team. Rich’s depth of experience with the company enables him to excel in this newer role.
Rich joined the company as a member of the maintenance crew doing spring cleanups and mowing.
By his third year, Rich had moved into the construction side of the business, which at the time handled all the disciplines of hardscapes, irrigation, lighting, etc.
One winter, when he wasn’t shoveling or doing odd carpentry jobs, Rich had the opportunity to work as a mason tender for the company doing some indoor fireplace work.
The mason bug got him and for the next 12 years Rich flourished doing masonry and hardscapes. This has been his favorite role in the company due to the challenges of technical masonry, creativity and the awesome results achieved.
Rich moved on from masonry and has been a project manager for the last couple of years and continued that role part-time when he became the company’s estimator.
The greatest challenge for Rich in this new role was ‘spreadsheet trauma’. With lots of trial & error and on-the-job training, Rich mastered the CRM estimating system which the company adopted with the LandOpt relationship.
Rich attributes much of his success and learning throughout his 20 years at Belknap Landscape to Hayden and Craig W.
Great job Rich! Thank you for always stepping up to the challenge at hand. Here's to the next 20 years!
